What Happened?
Where have I been? Somewhere not in the blogosphere, that's for sure. I never intended to stop blogging for the Summer, it just kind of happened. Then with the school year starting up and everything, life has been so hectic. But instead of giving you a list of excuses why I haven't been around lately, I'm just going to start over. So let's pretend I didn't abandon this blog, and that things will be as normal again. More posts will come. I promise.

Re-Introducing Me.
Let's go back to Tuesday, May 8th 2012. That's my bloggaversary date, the day I wrote this post. My very first post ever. Pretty Brief eh? Yeah, let's just say....It wasn't really a good & proper first post. And I'm actually kind of embarrassed to show you guys. I named off a few of my hobbies, and basically said Hi and welcome to my blog. That's it. Plain and Simple. But, I feel like plain and simple wasn't enough. I feel like I haven't really truly introduced myself to you. So today I'm going to set things straight, and re-introduce myself. Because I want you guys to really know me. I mean who likes reading blogs that are written by an unknown person in cyberspace? not me. :b
So here we go, it's the much dreaded post about the author of this blog:
Let's just get one thing straight before we go any further, Iam was adorable.
So here we go, it's the much dreaded post about the author of this blog:

And I learnt at a very young age to "grin & bare it" while my younger sister was crying.
I still have to use that method every now and then....
Anyways....
I'm not all that great about talking about myself. So that would be why I called this a "much dreaded post". But, who knows! you might actually find this very interesting. :b
Yes, yes, it's true. I like making things. Now, I'm not the amazing tissue paper seamstress I used to be, but I do still enjoy other crafts. Just take a look on my Pinterest! and Meanwhile, I've probably only made maybe 20% of the crafts I pin....But, I use the right side of my brain most often. :)
and I'm sure you will find at least one cool craft project on this blog.....hopefully...
I also LOVE blog design, and drawing! and pretty much anything art related.
I'm one of those girls who can't play soccer or hockey {or really any sport} to save her life. Yup. that's me :b
^Annnd that's my family!^
Cute little one eh? Yeah, I've got 5 siblings and counting :)
and in case you didn't already guess, we homeschool. And I'm so thankful for that.
I love my family so much! and being able to go to school in the same house at the same time with them is pretty special (well, most of the time).
hehe and you thought we lived in igloos here....
Okay, so the truth is...we don't live in igloos or plywood shelters here :b
But, I am a country girl. (country girl, not cave woman)
We live in a wood house surrounded by trees, and I love it here!
as for the photo above...well, that's the result of too many Bear Grylls shows :b
and lastly {but certainly not least} I am a Christian.
I believe that Jesus Christ, God's Son, came to die for the sins of everyone.
And that I am alive because of him. I'm not ashamed to write about my faith on this blog,
but I'm not going to try shoving religion down your throat.
I would be more than happy to explain more about Christianity to you, if you want though.
I love Jesus, and I pray that he will help me lead others to him too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
whew! I'm done now! I hope you guys enjoyed this little post about me :)
I know I didn't cover everything...but you can't say I didn't try.
So thank you for reading my little blog.
I hope you will stay awhile, and didn't get too scared away by reading this post.
~ Thanks ~

They say you can tell a lot about a girl by the contents of her purse....
I guess from emptying and looking through the contents of my purse, you could easily tell that I like to be prepared ( Knife, CPR card ). You might also assume that I care about my looks ( Foundation, Eyeliner, Lip Gloss, Lip Balm, Bobby pins ). Maybe I am a little over the top with the amount of beauty products I carry with me in that small purse, but I just kind of throw in random stuff. I always carry with me a pencil and a pen though, because you never know when you'll need one! A wallet is essential for me, whether it has money in it or not. I always bring my wallet. Oh, and that random piece of paper above the eyeliner is an old Fortune cookie fortune that says "Nobody's Perfect". I honestly don't know why I have it in there, but it does have a good reminder written on it. I have my glasses case with me at all times, along with a small cloth to clean my specs with. And I never go anywhere without my hand sanitizer (no I'm not a germaphobe). Because it smells amazing! and it makes my hands clean :b
So there you have it folks! One of those typical posts from your typical blogger. It's actually surprising how much stuff I can jam into that little yellow purse. XD Maybe you want to try dumping out the contents of your purse? If you're not my Mom, go for it! It'll give you the chance to re-organize ;)

Yesterday...
You know that day where practically nothing goes wrong (other than the camera dying), when the weather is great, friends are letting you take pictures of them, and you get to eat as much perogies as you want. Well, that day was yesterday. I finally turned fourteen! (yes, it was my Birthday) And I had so much fun! My lovely sisters woke me up with cards, presents, and Amy even made her "famous" Cinnamon Cakes for Breakfast. I felt so blessed to have so many people as excited as I was, all around me. After Breakfast we left to pick up my best friend Brooke, and we were off to the Bobcaygeon Fall fair! This was are very first year going to the fair, and I must say, it was so awesome. We had all entered things in the competitions, and if you have ever been to a country fair you know how exciting it is to walk into the building and see a first place ribbon on your entry. I am proud to say......
Bethany got first place in "cartoon drawing"
Lily got second place in "handmade card"
Katie got first place in "portrait drawing"
Amy got second place for her "handmade doll"
and I got first place in " Drawing (any subject)", second place in "Portrait drawing", first place in "Pencil Sketch", and second place in "digital photo enhancement"
So yeah, lets just say it was a pretty awesome Birthday. But wait, that's not all. After we finished looking at all the competition entries, we watched a horse show, and the best miniature horse costume competition. It was so great to watch! After the fair, we went to our trailer park and did a photoshoot. I love doing photoshoots! (photos will be posted on my other blog soon) And then, my Grandma made perogies (my absolute favourite meal ever!!). How awesome is that!? Anyway....after having said all that, I just truly realize how blessed I am to have such amazing family and friends. Who willingly accept my invitations to let me take photos of them.
isn't this sweet?
Amy's crocheted doll (her own pattern)
baby cow
Katie's Self Portrait (she's only 8 by the way)
Bethany's Cartoon
my Dog drawing
my Portrait Drawing
my digital enhancement entry
miniature horse costume competition
(ketchup and a hot dog)
Dorothy and the Scarecrow
The whole wizard of Oz gang
even Todo! (they won of course)
horseee!
Sorry for the terrible photo quality, my Dad actually just ordered a DSLR yesterday so this is just temporary. I hope you enjoyed reading this post!

I've been awarded
Woohoo! I was awarded by Autumn over at Autumn Bouquet http://autumnbouquet.blogspot.ca/. Apparently I have to answer these questions for you. Here goes nothin' :O)

3. I can be a complete loner at times.
4. I am a christian.
5. I am a homeschooler.
6. I love Macaws.
7. I have 5 (almost 6) siblings.
8. This is my first time being tagged.
9. My birthday is September 28th.
10. I LOVE good music.
11. I have not had a sunburn all summer :O) (that one was completely random)
Autumn's 11 questions and my 11 answers:
1 // What is the most adventurous thing you've ever done? Probably trying to swim in the deep end without a life jacket at age four and almost drowning :/ That was pretty adventurous...and stupid.
2 // If you could choose anywhere to go for a vacation, what would be your pick? Florida. To attend a drawing workshop with Lee Hammond.
3 // Have you ever eaten desert first? (guilty!) Oh yes. Multiple times.
4 // Did you cry at the ending scene in Tangled? (again, guilty!) No. But I did cry at the ending scene of Toy story 3. Go figure that out! LOL
5 // How tall are you? 5 foot 5? last time I checked...
6 // Would you ever go swimming in the winter? In an indoor pool or hot-tub, yes. Outdoors, no.

9 // What is one of your passions? I have a strong passion for Art (and God, but you said only one)
10 // What is the most embarrassing this that has ever happened to you? Ummm.....recently I was playing "I've never" with my youth group, and the guy in the middle said "I've never been a girl". I forgot how to play, and kept on sitting while all the girls got up and switched places. Oops :/ all the guys were like, "Emma-lee......you've never been a girl?" I was pretty embarrassed.
11 // Favorite Scripture verse? hmmm that's a tough one. I have multiple favourite verses, but one of them is 1 Peter 2:6
For in Scripture it says, "See I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame".

What I Wore // Wednesday
shirt : Joe Fresh, pants: Wal-Mart, sunglasses: Joe Fresh, shoes: Alfred Sung
Well, my first fashion post. Are you proud of me? I am a big fan of coloured jeans....i must confess. I was pretty desperate for a pair. So when I saw these on sale at Wal-mart I had to get them. They are actually Jeggings. Could you tell? I'm normally like a size 6, but I got size 11 for these, becuase I didn't want them to look like jeggings. The only problem is that they are low-rise and they are a little too baggy. Oh well, I saw some cool coloured jeans at Old Navy so maybe I'll go there. My shirt, well I've been buying a lot of striped stuff lately. I don't know why, but whatever. I finally got myself a pair of sunglasses! I know, I waited until August (what's with that). I love them so much though. Anyway...I guess that about raps up today's "what I wore". I know it's not Wednesday, but this is what I wore on Wednesday and I just took too long to post it. :o) I hope you liked this outfit!
Thanks to Amy for taking these photos of me.
