Who wants S'more Cookies?

Hello All! I'm back, but this time....with a real post! I know, I know, it's been a while. But tonight I felt like I had to get out of my lazy chair, get the computer, camera, and tablet and sit back down in a chair (not the lazy one) to write up a little post for ya'll (wow! look at that, I'm going all southern on ya now) Tonight my Mom went to this couponing workshop (yes, she is now one of "those" people), So I got the lovely job of watching my siblings. All of Them. Usually when I babysit the sibs, it's on with a movie, and out with the snacks.  But tonight I decided to shake things up a bit, and do some baking! And Basically that's what this post is all about. Baking...with lots of kids.

I wouldn't suggest doing this part of the cookie with the younger kids, just because first of all: it's quite time consuming with little ones. Second of all: it's messy, and third of all: I really don't think they could care less. So what I did, was made up this batch of cookie dough and gave it to them in separate little balls. So they could do the "fun" part.

                                               Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of butter or margarine (softened)
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. milk or cream
1 tsp. vanilla flavouring
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Combine the first three ingredients together in large bowl. Stir in the milk or cream and vanilla. Mix  together thoroughly. Then add in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Once the ingredients are all blended together, (It shouldn't be sticky. If it is, add more flour) roll into separate balls for each person. Hollow out the inside of the dough ball, and stuff in peanut butter, marshmallows, chocolate chips, etc. until it's full. Then close the opening of the ball so that it covers all the goodies inside. Make sure the cookie is not too thick (it might not cook fully if it's too round). Place on greased tart pan or cookie sheet, and put in oven (at 425). Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Makes about 8 cookies.

even the little bro' made one!

All in All, I'd say it was a hit! They all had fun, it wasn't too messy, and the cookies were delicious if I do say so myself.  What do you do when you babysit?
